Program Overview

Feedback from past CHAOS University sessions has indicated that workshops and their presentations were the most valuable parts of each event. In addition, many executives have expressed that they are squeezed for time; therefore, we have streamlined the event into two days and focus on the workshops. Other than the opening and closing remarks the event will feature only three items: workshops, results presentations, and executive sponsor commentaries. Here is a general description of these sessions:

Workshop Overview: In our "Creating an SOA Pipeline " workshops we will break out into small groups of six to eight people. A Standish moderator will facilitate each workgroup. The workshop will run for 45 minutes. The groups will be given a different case puzzle with a set of directions, problems, and goals. For example, in the first interactive session we will work together to look at how these SOA and Pipelining disciplines can help achieve better business results. SOA allows you to quickly respond to the market changes and pressures. Pipeline your projects features on a constant basis. We will explore the benefits, the challenges and how to overcome the challenges.

Workshop Presentations: After each workshop group has solved its puzzle, the group will elect a spokesperson and create a predefined formatted presentation. The groups will then return to the general assembly and each group's spokesperson will be given five minutes to present their results.

Workshop Commentary: Each workshop will have an executive sponsor. This executive sponsor will provide commentary, feedback, and summaries of the workshop as well as their own thoughts on the subject.
