The Object Management Group™ (OMG™)
has announced that it is supporting The
Standish Group's CHAOS University 2008
Executive Retreat. The theme of this
year's retreat, being held at the Seaport
Hotel World Trade Center in Boston, November
6-7, is Creating a Healthy Project
Management Ecosystem. The purpose of
the event is to explore ways to identify the
project commandments, take action to enhance
and promote them, and raise the project
success quotient.
 |
"As a frequent participant at the
CHAOS event and as a professional who cares
about increasing IT value, the work at this
retreat is extremely important," said
Richard Mark Soley, Ph.D., Chairman and CEO, OMG. "Therefore we are putting our
money where our mouth is! For every member of
the OMG family that participates and lends
their voice to finding the cure for project
failure we will donate $250 to reduce their
normal retreat fee." |

 |
"Our research shows that in general
most IT projects do not meet their objectives
even if they are on time and on or under
budget.
After fifteen years of intense
research, including 60,000 projects and 500
workshops, we now know why!" said Jim
Johnson, Chairman, The Standish Group.
"We are on the verge of the solution and
in this stage of discovery we look forward to
hearing from the OMG Members." |
